The Challenge
PokerStars, part of the Flutter Entertainment Group, set out to develop a new Sportsbook platform to support its evolution into a global sports betting brand. The platform needed to provide a full-stack solution covering data stores, middleware, web and mobile interfaces, operating seamlessly across multiple brands, territories, and regulatory regimes. It required full localisation capabilities, enterprise-grade security, efficient deployment, and the ability to scale to global customer volumes.

The Impact
The first two major milestones were delivered almost two months ahead of schedule. The new Sportsbook platform launched successfully into multiple territories, giving PokerStars a robust foundation for global sports betting operations.
Engineering capability was enhanced through improved workflows and reduced bottlenecks, while the up-skilling initiative ensured in-house teams could sustain performance beyond rollout.
