From award wins to new faces and fresh capabilities, October was a big month for the team at Enablis. Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been building, celebrating, and sharing.
Mythbusting Cloud Migration
Cloud migration isn’t just about moving systems, it’s about unlocking flexibility, resilience, and growth. This month, we tackled some of the biggest myths still holding organisations back, from “lift-and-shift” shortcuts to the illusion of instant cost savings.
Everywhen: Connecting People, Processes & Platforms
Integrating multiple acquisitions into a 20-year-old IT estate is no small feat, but that’s exactly what Everywhen (part of The Ardonagh Group) achieved with our help.
A repeatable integration model, 500+ staff connected across 20 business units, and work that used to take months now takes a week.

Celebrating Sarah Pawson: Entrepreneur of the Year
The Leeds Digital Festival Awards brought some brilliant news: our own Sarah Pawson was named Entrepreneur of the Year.
She couldn’t attend (she was busy getting married – fair excuse), but the team proudly celebrated on her behalf. A huge win for both Sarah and Enablis.

New Enabler on Board: Meet Sam
This month we welcomed Sanmegh (Sam), Senior Consultant and full-stack problem-solver. He’s already bringing a ton of energy (and serious coding skills) to the team, with experience working for organisations like the Home Office and NHS.
A real tech whizz, when he’s not coding (which is rare), you’ll find him making short films, writing, travelling, or building something new just for fun.
Cloudy with a Chance of Code: LDF Highlights
It was raining code and bright ideas at our Leeds Digital Festival challenge. Teams had 75 minutes to jump into a weather dashboard app, fix bugs, add new features, and put their AI-powered consulting skills to the test.
There were quick wins, creative builds, and plenty of laughs as everyone raced the clock – proving that innovation doesn’t have to be serious to be smart.

Hats Off to Pete
Brains, balance, and bandwidth: Our Chief Customer Officer, Peter Cotton has officially added an MA in Philosophy to his MEng in Software Engineering. That makes him the ideal consultant for anyone building technology systems or wrestling with the meaning of why they won’t do what you want them to.

Top DevOps Reads, Listens & Wins
As one of our Senior Consultants and a DevOps specialist (and now officially an MSc graduate with Distinction), Michael Rossiter’s the person everyone turns to for insights on cloud, automation, and all things DevOps.
Have we mentioned? Mike’s just been selected as a DevOps Institute Ambassador for the UK as well!
This week, he’s sharing his top five DevOps podcasts, books and shows.
Expanding Our Services
We’ve broadened how we help organisations move faster and think bigger. From assessing what’s next to accelerating delivery, transforming systems, and innovating with AI and data, our updated services are built to deliver lasting impact.
Celebrating Ed’s 1-Year Anniversary
It’s one whole year since Ed Marshall joined Enablis as our Chief Technology Officer, brought in to drive our tech vision forward and shape the next stage of our growth. Since then, he’s been at the heart of some big changes, leading from the front (often from his favourite spot on the office sofa).

An Unpopular Opinion in Tech
We’re kicking off a new series where our Enablers share a thought-provoking (albeit controversial) take on common tech misconceptions. Alex Steele starts us off with a spicy take on DevOps: “Most DevOps solutions are over-engineered.”
Practical wisdom or fighting words?
Our Team is Growing
From a handful of Enablers to a full house! Every person who’s joined has added something new… experience, ideas, and a bit of their own spark. The mix of people and skills we’ve built is what makes us who we are.

Looking Ahead
As we roll right into November, we’re buzzing to continue growing our team, expanding our reach, and challenging what’s possible in tech delivery.
